Fred Kaita Master Gardener Bursary

Purpose

To encourage Steinbach and Area Garden Club Members to become Master Gardeners

To provide financial assistance for Steinbach and Area Garden Club Members to further their knowledge of Horticultural Science and practices through the Master Gardener Program.

 

The Fred Kaita Master Gardener Bursary

The Steinbach and Area Garden Club shall provide up to 3 Master Gardener Bursaries annually to cover the tuition cost of one Master Gardener Course with each Bursary.

 

Fred Kaita Master Gardener Bursary Criteria

To receive the Fred Kaita Master Gardener Bursary the successful applicant will have met the following criteria;

1. The applicant must be a member of the Steinbach and Area Garden Club.

2. Proof of registration in the Master Gardener course must be provided.

3. The applicant shall demonstrate a willingness to complete the Master Gardener Program.

4. The applicant shall demonstrate a willingness to volunteer a minimum of 10 hours of work on Steinbach and Area Garden Club activities and/or gardening related community service projects as approved by the SAGC.

 

The Bursary Selection Committee will consist of three Steinbach and Area Garden Club members as appointed by the SAGC Executive.
